Three important paddle boarding tips

Here are three important tips for paddleboarding:

  1. Find your balance: Balance is key when it comes to paddleboarding. Make sure your feet are shoulder-width apart and your weight is evenly distributed on the board. Keep your knees slightly bent and your core engaged to help maintain balance. It may take some practice to find your balance, but don't give up - with time and experience, you'll become more confident and comfortable on the board.
  2. Use proper paddling technique: Using proper paddling technique is important for both efficiency and preventing injury. Hold the paddle with both hands, keeping your top hand on the handle and your bottom hand on the shaft. Keep your arms straight and use your core and back muscles to pull the paddle through the water. Avoid using your arms alone to paddle, as this can lead to fatigue and strain.
  3. Be aware of your surroundings: It's important to be aware of your surroundings when paddleboarding. Pay attention to other boats, jet skis, and other watercraft, as well as any obstacles in the water. Be mindful of the weather conditions, such as wind and waves, and adjust your paddling accordingly. It's also a good idea to bring a life jacket or personal flotation device, even if you're a strong swimmer, for added safety.
